Crispy Bread Kaja
Ingredients:
1. bread - 2 Slices2. Oil / Ghee - 1 Cup for frying
3. Brown Sugar / Nattu Sakkarai or Sugar - 1/4 Cup
4. Cashews, cardamoms, and Dry grapes
5. Water - 1/4 Cup
Preparation method:
1. Chop the bread into small to medium pieces.
2. Heat oil in medium flame and fry the bread pieces till golden brown color. keep them aside.
3. Heat a pan with 1/4 cup sugar and an equal amount of water, Once it is boiled completely. Add in the fried crispy bread pieces into it and mix them well.
4. Heat another small pan for ghee tadka with cardamoms, dry grapes, and cashews.
5. Pour the ghee mixture into the bread and mix them well.
6. Keep it aside and let it cool.
It will be soaked well and the outer layer will be crispy to eat. Inside it will soft and juicy.
