Simple Mor Kuzhambu (Without Coconut) recipe

Ingredients:

1. Thick Curd - 1 Cup
2. Besan / Kadalai Maavu - 1 tablespoon
3. Chilli Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
4. Sambar Powder - 1 tablespoon 
5. Salt - Required amount
6. Turmeric Powder - a pinch

For Seasoning:

1. Kadugu / Mustard seeds - 1 tablespoon
2. Black Gram / Ulutham Paruppu / Urad Dal - 1 tablespoon
3. Green Chillies - 4
4. Ginger - 1 inch
5. Hing / Asafoetida - a pinch
6. Onion - 1 big
7. Oil - 3 tablespoons
8. Curry Leaves - few



Preparation method:

1. Mix all the ingredients together except the items given for seasoning along with water to a medium thickness.



2. Heat oil in a pan, add hing, mustard seeds, Black Gram to it, and let it splutter. 

3. Once it is spluttered, add the chopped ginger and green chilies to it and fry them for a minute.

4. Now add the chopped onions to it and fry them well.


5. Add the curd mixture to the pan and let it boil for 5 minutes in medium flame.


This can be served with hot rice or it can be served as a side dish to a kichadi.
